Job Description

CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER (ENTRY-LEVEL)

Location: DC METRO/HYBRID

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Microsoft Azure Identity Management and Directory Services infrastructure and programs.
  2. Design, maintain, monitor, backup, report, and develop identity programs.
  3. Handle software upgrades, vulnerability management, and support projects.
  4. Mentor Level 1 and II IA engineers.
  5. Support products including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, ADFS, RadiantOne FID/ICS Virtual Directory, Microsoft PKI/Venafi, CyberArk, and SailPoint IdentityIQ.
  6. Focus on Cloud/Azure Security technologies, maintaining enterprise cloud security with emphasis on access controls and identity protection.
  7. Engineer and maintain Azure Security and Enterprise Application deployment (excluding O365) to enhance cloud infrastructure and application security.
  8. Develop and implement technologies such as Azure Client Access Policies, MCAS, Azure Privileged Identity Manager, and Azure Identity Protection.
  9. Perform security system scans using tools like Nessus, WebInspect, and AppDetective.
  10. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills; capable of presenting to management.
  11. Produce quality deliverables, complete projects timely, and provide regular status updates.
  12. Pay close attention to detail, follow procedures, and report anomalies.
  13. Apply creative problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and solutions.
  14. Maintain a professional work ethic, dependability, and initiative.

Education:

Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.

Experience:

Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems, Active Directory, virtualization hypervisors, and Azure Active Directory.
