Curriculum Design Lead: Early Elementary Join to apply for the Curriculum Design Lead: Early Elementary role at Bold Charter School Position Summary As the Curriculum Design Lead: Early Elementary at Bold Charter School, you will develop and support the implementation of a rigorous, student-centered program for our elementary model, specifically focused on Grades K-1. You will work closely with school leadership to ensure the curriculum aligns to the school’s instructional approach and drives high academic outcomes for all students. You will be part of a results-oriented and collaborative team of professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of educational excellence. You will receive regular coaching and feedback, and will have opportunities for professional growth within the organization. Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Developing a rigorous curriculum to include assessments, scope and sequences, unit guides, and lesson plans Designing assessments that align to the school’s instructional approach, accurately reflect meaningful student learning, and ensure readiness for rigorous standardized assessments Collaborating with school leadership on targeted professional development to support the instructional team in developing content knowledge, implementing curriculum, and analyzing results Utilizing performance data to assess the effectiveness of curricular design and implementation with an eye to continuous improvement Modeling Bold’s core values and building a positive student and team culture across the school Demonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in what is best for student achievement Successful Candidates Should Be passionate about teaching and learning Have 3+ years of experience in curriculum and assessment development and implementation, preferably for early elementary grades Have 3+ years of instructional experience with a record of high levels of student achievement and a demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous classroom instruction Be a person of high moral character and with well-developed emotional intelligence Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and possess an excellence reflex that constantly raises the bar Demonstrate an ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize strategically Demonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of Bold, and to going above and beyond the requirements of the job Have the ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where responsibility for student success is shared and owned by everyone Hold a commitment to solutions-based problem solving and previous experience of such Hold a Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadership, advanced degree preferred Start Date The start date for this position is flexible. Compensation Bold Charter School offers highly competitive compensation, in the top range of comparable positions across New York City charter schools. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
