1st shift / Mon-Fri / 8am - 4pm

$22 - $25 /per hr

PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Chemical Reactor Operator on behalf of our client in the Piedmont / Donaldson Airport area. This fast-paced role offers competitive pay with higher compensation opportunities upon promotion to Level 2.

As a Chemical Reactor Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the reaction of chemicals from building blocks to finished products. The right candidate must be committed to precision, safety, and efficiently managing an array of chemical reactors and support utilities.

Chemical Reactor Operator Primary Responsibilities include:

Your main responsibility is the safe and accurate management of chemical reactions and batch processing, ensuring consistent product quality and operational safety.

  • Chemical Handling: Expertly handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Batch Processing: Strictly follow batch sheet recipes and carefully document all activities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee multiple chemical reactors and support utilities; inspect equipment daily and maintain/clean assigned machines and workstations.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move materials and staged products as required.
  • Safety & PPE: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the required use of respirators and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Environment & Logistics: Work effectively in a hot, cold, or humid industrial environment while meeting challenging production objectives.

Chemical Reactor Operator Desired Skills and Experience include:

  • Chemical Experience is Required; experience working with Chemicals and Batch Tickets is essential.
  • Experience with reactionary chemical processes is essential for this role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; military experience is highly encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver's license and previous forklift experience are required.
  • Physical Capability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work 8-10 hour shifts as needed.
  • Industrial Background: Strong history of working in industrial environments with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the site, including leadership, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
