Job Description

As an Athletic Trainer (BOC) joining our team we are looking for someone who is passionate about athletic training and keeping student athletes healthy and thriving.

*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
1. Provide athletic training services for all home athletic contests and when available away contests.

2. Act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes and their parents.

3. Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments and referral patterns.

4. Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program.

5. Schedule and be present for the bump and bruise clinics as needed.

6. Provide the coaches and athletic director with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations.

7. Provide to each of the athletic trainers the necessary equipment, supplies and support.

8. Clear communication with other trainers as to their responsibilities within each school.

9. Develop open lines of communication with the participating physicians, providers and facilities.

10. Protect athlete’s privacy of information, records and injury status as per HIPAA compliance.

11. Provide professional and personalized training plans

12. Ensure students are practicing healthy lifestyle habits

13. Comply with all health and safety standards of the facility

14. Become CTE educator for the school district and be willing to teach health related classes.

*Skills*

* Proven work experience as a personal trainer
* Hands on experience with fitness equipment (trainer certification from Pro Fitness or NASM)
* Knowledge of health and fitness principles (aerobic, anaerobic, strength training)
* Availability to take classes (preferred but not required)
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
* Friendly and reliable with a strong customer service approach
* Strong commitment to professional and personal growth
* Certification in P&P (Prevention & Prevention for Athletic Training) is a plus

*Education/Certification: *BOC certified and licensed in the state of Idaho as an ATC/LAT. BLS/healthcare provider certified.

*Experience:* Work experience in an athletic training program at the college or high school level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
