Job Title: Associate – Business Analyst

Department: Accounting & Finance

Reports To: Manager

Location: Irvine- Onsite 5 days a week

Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 annually + bonus

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Associate – Business Analyst will support the Accounting and Finance department by improving Yardi system utilization across the Operating Management (OM), Asset Management (AM), and Property Management (PM) teams. Beyond technical expertise, this role requires exceptional communication skills . The individual will routinely interact with senior stakeholders and external clients, often navigating sensitive conversations that require clear, confident, and professional responses.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and equally comfortable with system processes and people management —able to translate technical detail into practical guidance, and to say yes or no in a way that builds trust and maintains strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Yardi User Support & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain user manuals and process guides for OM, AM, and PM teams, specifically focused on Yardi modules including Deal Manager, Construction Manager, Forecast Manager, and Reporting.
  • Participate in internal training sessions; document content, summarize key takeaways, and provide ongoing support in a clear, approachable manner.

System Change Communication

  • Review Yardi release notes and system updates; summarize relevant changes for the AM and PM teams, focusing on practical business impact.
  • Communicate system updates or changes directly to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and buy-in, while handling concerns diplomatically.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external clients, ensuring expectations are aligned.
  • Facilitate discussions that may require firm but respectful decision-making , such as communicating limitations, prioritizations, or changes without compromising relationships.

Reporting & Data Collaboration

  • Coordinate with the internal Accounting Information Systems team to develop and enhance custom reports used by the AM team.
  • Ensure data consistency and report accuracy across departments while keeping stakeholders informed of progress and limitations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Systems with a business minor.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of full-time work experience in a business, accounting, finance, or system support environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills , with a proven ability to simplify technical concepts, manage sensitive conversations, and communicate effectively with executives and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and handle conflict with diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
