Responsibilities

  • The Body Shop Manager is responsible to develop business through insurance adjusters, customers and other sources to assure an adequate sales volume, provide a reasonable department operating profit and maintain customer satisfaction, while controlling expenses
  • The Body Shop Manager directs the activities of Body Shop employees in performing body repairs, meeting time schedules and productivity levels and maintaining quality standards
  • Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect Body Shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal, right-to-know and environmental updates
  • Attend managers' meetings
  • Strive for team-work with other departments
  • Hold departmental meetings periodically to discuss problem areas
  • Perform periodic reviews of employee performance

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Experienced in Auto Body Repair Estimating
  • Working knowledge of body repair methods
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
