Overview
Role: Bilingual Safety Coordinator - OSHA 30. Location: Charleston, SC. Type: Full-time. This position supports branch safety, lean initiatives, and field safety programs in a commercial construction environment. The role requires bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Responsibilities
All phases of branch safety, Lean support, and enforcement.
Safety and Lean checklist inspections.
Conduct new hire orientations and skill assessments; support documentation as required.
Provide training and licensing for field personnel on tools and equipment (e.g., Hilti tools, MEWPs, Lull & Forklift operations, scaffolds, ladders).
Assist Management in creating new job startup requirements (e.g., contract safety documents, JSSP/SSSP, OCIP/CCIP).
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
Support injured employees, attend initial doctor appointments, and assist until medical clearance for return to duty.
Ensure documentation is completed for any accidents, incidents, or property damage.
Other duties as needed.
Requirements / Experience
1 to 2 years of commercial construction safety experience.
Proficiency with desktop computers, laptops, iPad, smartphones, and related devices.
OSHA 30
Precision Walls Trained Trainer certification (as provided by Branch Safety Coordinator, Safety QQC, Safety Manager, or SQRM).
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
