This position is located in Newport News, VA
Experienced Ballet instructor for a large, well-established, nationally award-winning school in Southeast Virginia. Recreational plus competitive team classes. Key Responsibilities:
Instruct ballet classes for beginner to intermediate students, focusing on proper technique, musicality, and performance quality.
Develop structured lesson plans and choreography for recitals or performances.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth and development.
Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discipline and creativity.
Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in staff meetings, events, and parent-teacher conferences.
Stay up-to-date with current teaching methodologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of ballet teaching experience in a studio, school, or performing arts setting.
Formal training in classical ballet (Vaganova, RAD, Cecchetti, or equivalent preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students in a positive, respectful manner.
