Lead Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine Specialist

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Lead Athletic Trainer, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting student-athletes' health and performance. This position offers an exceptional opportunity with a sign-on bonus of up to $30,000!

Position Overview

As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you'll provide comprehensive sports medicine services to high school and junior high school athletes, working under physician supervision to deliver optimal healthcare outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation programs
  • Conduct thorough injury evaluations and provide immediate care for sports-related injuries
  • Coordinate with medical directors, physicians, and school officials regarding athlete care
  • Design and oversee strength and conditioning programs
  • Maintain detailed electronic medical records using Presagia EMR software
  • Guide return-to-play decisions in collaboration with medical team
  • Monitor athletic activities for safety compliance
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAATE-accredited program (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
  • Current BOC certification in good standing
  • New York State Athletic Training license (PA license preferred)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience working with adolescent athletes preferred
