Job Description

Edenbrook Rochester , a proud member of the Eden Senior Care network, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Nursing Home Administrator (ANHA) to support daily operations at our skilled nursing facility. Position Summary

The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator will work closely with the Administrator to ensure regulatory compliance, smooth day-to-day operations, and effective HR and staffing management. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of long-term care experience who is eager to learn, highly self-directed, and passionate about advancing their career in skilled nursing administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Administrator in overseeing daily facility operations.
  • Assist in Human Resources functions, including staffing, employee relations, onboarding, and policy implementation.
  • Assist with census development, marketing strategies, and building community partnerships.
  • Oversee the grievance process, ensuring timely investigations, proper documentation, and reporting of any state-reportable incidents.
  • Collaborate with department heads to support operational initiatives and regulatory readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS guidelines.
  • Serve as Administrator on Duty as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Preferably holds an NHA license or has completed an AIT program.
  • Has taken—or is willing to take—their boards within the next 90 days.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations and facility operations.
  • HR experience or demonstrated interest in HR-related leadership responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates with a social work background who are interested in transitioning into administration are strongly encouraged to apply.
