Under the supervision and direction of the General Counsel, First Deputy General Counsel, and DDC’s management team, the attorney will conduct various legal assignments, including: Contract drafting Real property issues, including licenses, access, leasing, and eminent domain Procurement issues, bid protests, and alternative procurement methods Review and revision of contract documents and communication of procurement requirements Litigation support and claims analysis Review of FOIL responses and coordination with public relations Legal guidance on conflicts of interest Review of real property and land use issues, including condemnation proceedings Preparation of funding and security agreements Procurement appeals and decision drafting Support on employment and labor issues Legal research and interpretation of laws and regulations The role also involves assisting with other legal matters such as public procurement, construction law, property issues, UCC, environmental law, leases, insurance, access agreements, conflicts of interest, and employment law.
