Job Description

The Assistant Electrician's primary function is corrective and preventive maintenance according to the AMOS maintenance system on board the vessel, including, but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Corrective and preventive maintenance according to the AMOS maintenance system.

The Assistant Electrician is part of the rotating Electrical Watch Team and must have good knowledge of the electrical system in the accommodations.

Take on duties as directed by Chief Electrical Engineer or 1st Electrical Engineer; maintenance and repair of the following electrical installations:

Forklifts w/batteries, cranes, etc.; Electrical installation works; Accommodation equipment; Lighting throughout the entire ship, in-and-outdoors; Low voltage repairs and installations; Repair of housekeeping and accommodation equipment; Cleaning of electrical workshops, store and electrical lockers; Share 24-hours duty with Electrical Engineer Jr; A full understanding of his/her responsibilities in the Safety Organization as per the Emergency Plan;

Hiring Requirements

Diploma or Certificate from a recognized and approved Maritime Technical Vocational School or institution, preferably in Marine Electrical Automation Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent; Minimum of one year experience in similar job/position, preferably on a passenger vessel; Proven track record of related work; Certifications according to STCW2010 Requirements; ETR and HVOL valid certificates are required;
