Overview JOB DESCRIPTION: Cameron University, an NCAA Division II member of the Lone Star Conference, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director – Director of Athletics Communications. This position is responsible for the overall direction, management, supervision, and execution of the Athletics Communications Department. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, or designee, the Assistant Athletic Director – Athletics Communications will serve as a member of the Athletic Department’s administrative team and will support the department’s mission, vision, and core values, through strategic and creative messaging. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Responsibilities Serves as the department’s sports information director Brand awareness and enhancement Maintain social media presence and manage social media platforms Website design, maintenance, and updates Oversees and manages all game day duties and operations Utilization of statistical programs (Stat Crew, Live Stats) Hire and manage multiple graduate assistant and student worker positions Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, or designee Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred College, graduate assistant or high school sports information, marketing, or social media experience Skilled in graphic design (Adobe Suite) Strong understanding of statistical programs Understanding of video board operation Knowledge of live streaming and production truck Basic understanding of photography Ability to work and create content for all social media platforms Excellent writing skills Attention to detail and effective time management skills
