LTC Language Solutions is seeking a professional and passionate American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team full-time in Indiana. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing language access across a variety of settings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Interpreting Services:

  • Provide high-quality, in-person ASL interpretation at various client locations in Indiana as needed for up to 40 hours per week
  • Accurately interpret in various legal, medical and community settings.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and a strong understanding of Deaf culture.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
Administration:
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the Interpreting Manager and ASL team.
  • When not at interpreting assignments, provide administrative support to the Interpreting Department including but not limited to scheduling, calls and inbox management.
  • Develop a strong presence in the community for LTC by attending events, being involved in various networking groups, etc. 
  • Assist in organizing interpreter training and events
Requirements
  • 3+ years of ASL interpreting experience
  • Passionate about providing language access
  • Adherence to the RID Interpreter Code of Ethics
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language
  • NIC/IIC Certification
Professional Appearance Guidelines
As a representative of LTC, interpreters are expected to maintain a polished and professional appearance:
  • Business casual attire.
  • Closed-toe shoes.
  • Neatly groomed hair (pulled back if shoulder-length or longer).
  • Clean, polish-free nails.
