The Denver International Airport Field Maintenance team is looking for an Airport Field Tech I. They will perform entry to intermediate journey level construction, maintenance, and repair work on a wide variety of linear assets and federally regulated airport surfaces with a focus on asphalt, concrete, and earthwork projects. Key responsibilities include participating in 12-hour rotating shifts for airfield snow removal duties and operating large, complex specialized industrial equipment, preparing subgrade for asphalt paving operations, installing, repairing, and maintaining concrete and asphalt surfaces, constructing and maintaining roadway structures, performing temporary mobile lane closures, vegetation management, and other related duties in all weather conditions. The role requires knowledge of CFR Part 139 rules/regulations, FAA Advisory Circulars, airport emergency response procedures, radio etiquette, machines and tools, snow removal, pavement construction, hazardous materials, motor vehicle operation, and safety precautions. Required minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in construction, asphalt, or concrete repair, a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B with air brake endorsement), current DOT physical certification, Airport ID badge and LAR driving privileges, and flagger certification within six months of probation. The position involves working shifts including day, swing, and graveyard shifts, with mandatory snow removal duties and possible extended hours during emergencies. The job is located onsite at Denver International Airport with parking provided, and uniforms and work boot allowance are included.
