We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and passionate 5th Grade Teacher specializing in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics to join our team.

Position Overview: The 5th Grade ELA & Math Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons in both English Language Arts and Mathematics. The teacher will work with students to develop their critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and mathematical problem-solving skills while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and committed to supporting the academic and emotional development of every child.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math based on curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and observations, providing targeted support as needed.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
  • Use data-driven instruction to support individual student growth and achievement.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in team meetings, school-wide initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a unified and effective learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching certification (specific to LA preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of both English Language Arts and Math curricula for 5th grade.
  • Experience with formative and summative assessments, data analysis, and student-centered instruction.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Strong commitment to student growth and development, both academically and socially.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience teaching 5th grade ELA and Math or similar grade levels.
  • Familiarity with current educational technologies and online learning platforms.
